Heracles Attains Immortality by Plucking the Golden Apples of the Hesperides
Heracles achieved immortality by plucking the golden apples that Gaia had gifted to Hera as a wedding present. According to sources, these apples were planted in a garden located at the westernmost edge of the world. Guarding the garden were the Hesperides, also known as the "Daughters of the West," alongside a fearsome dragon.
The Hesperides would spend their time singing and dancing while also standing watch over the garden. It was believed that plucking one of these golden apples granted immortality to those who possessed it.
